Dissatisfied With My Dopod…See You In Court!

Yeah, that’s what I learned from a recent news in Malaysia, where the dealer was ordered to repair their buyer’s Dopod D810 free of charge.

The victim claimed that the phone (Dopod D810) that she bought months ago and still under warranty having several problems with its buttons.

She took the phone to the dealer but they insist payment for the repair, which cost RM 1,000 but that shouldn’t be happen since it still under warranty.

In court she asked for refund but got rejected, instead the dealer was told to repair the phone without charge.

"In its defence, the dealer was adamant in its stand that the claimant’s phone had been in contact with liquid, based on their earlier repair works on the phone and as such the warranty was not applicable, adding that the conditions of the warranty were clearly stated."

HTC Is Going To Raise Brand Awareness In North America

Although they’re well known for being behind-the-scene entity for Dopod and several Windows Mobile smartphone brands, yet they are starting to promoting their own HTC brand.

And below is the first commercial video (the title is ‘Set your fingers free, HTC.’) that will be screening at movie theatres, in-flight entertainment screens, television, print, and outdoor ad spots, beginning this week.

Some said that these commercial looks alike Apple, in the last part. I did’t aware about that, though. Are you?

HTC To Have GPhone Operation System?

Yeah, rumours have been circulated everywhere on the Internet regarding these GPhone from our big brother, Google.

So what it has to be with HTC?

In recent article from CNet, it’s said that HTC will ship 50,000 or so handsets by year’s end to developers with the Gphone operating system.

“UBS analyst Arthur Hsieh believes that Taiwanese handset maker HTC will ship 50,000 or so handsets by year’s end to developers with the Gphone operating system, according to a recent research note. That’s a sliver of the nearly 1.4 million iPhones that have been sold so far, of course, but it’s a start.”

The Apple iPhone Rival : HTC Touch

Both released on June 2007.

One comes with BIG marketing campaign but another doesn’t.

That’s iPhone from Apple Inc. and HTC Touch from HTC Inc.

I’m not going to make comparison between both gadgets but for today I just wanted to share with you some informations regarding these new released (at least for me) HTC Touch.

What’s so special about these iPhone rival?

1. It works with Windows Mobile 6, which is an extra advantage when it comes to working with Microsoft Office files.

2. The TouchFLO factor.”With the HTC Touch™, access to your most commonly used content, contacts and features is only a simple finger flick away,” said Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC.
